Assyrians in Lebanon
Assyrians in Lebanon constitute some of the country's Christian population. There are only a few thousand Assyrians in Lebanon, from the Church of the East and Chaldean Catholic Church. Assyrians are a Semitic people who speak Mesopotamian Aramaic dialects and originate from Iraq. [1] Two Assyrian/Syriac parties are established in Lebanon, Shuraya party and Aramaic Democratic Organization.
